About Me
Tim G B.Ed, B.Phil (Ed) has been a teacher since the 1980s, first in the secondary sector and then in the primary sector. He has huge experience of teaching across all of Key Stage 2 from Year 3 to Year 6. He has been a maths leader and is also very experienced with teaching all areas of English to different ability groups from SEN to Gifted and Talented. In addition to teaching all areas of the National Curriculum, he has also taught Latin to this age group using the Minimus Mouse Scheme. His strengths are assessing needs, tailoring work to the needs of students and motivating and enthusing pupils to do their best. He aims to develop the students’ confidence and ability with any subject taught and he has very high expectations for all pupils according to their ability and circumstances. He has taught both maths and English online with Invicta National Academy both last summer and again on a daily basis from January onwards with well over 100 pupils per lesson. For a week over the Easter school holiday he taught maths and 11+maths averaging 120-130 students per lesson for the morning session. He is willing to tutor 1:1 or in small groups.
