Designated Safeguarding Lead (Kent): Miss Helen Tebay

Invicta Summer Academy are delighted to announce that Miss Helen Tebay will be joining our Pop UP Invicta Summer Academy as our Kent safeguarding lead (DSL).

Helen is the current Pastoral Deputy and Designated Safeguarding Lead at Sevenoaks School, a role she has held for the last 8 years.  Before that, she worked in safeguarding as a Divisional Head at Sevenoaks School for 10 years.

Her previous pastoral roles at Sevenoaks School include Lower School Tutor, Middle School Divisional Head and Sixth Form Divisional Head. Helen comes from Kent and attended two local schools before studying Maths at Cambridge. She taught at Tunbridge Wells Girls’ Grammar School before coming to Sevenoaks in 1997, where she has been a teacher of Maths, sports coach, RAF officer, DofE trainer, choir member and enthusiastic supporter of plays, concerts and exhibitions!

Helen has agreed to take on the role of Kent DSL for the Invicta Summer Academy because she believes that the Invicta Summer Academy is a great initiative and that all children need and deserve the opportunity to catch up on the education they have missed as a result of Covid-19.
