Designated Safeguarding Lead

Invicta Academy is very pleased to introduce Mrs Caroline Platt who has just taken up the position of National Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

Caroline is a qualified secondary school teacher specialising in Languages, with over 19 years experience in education. She also works as a consultant for Write-Trak (a provider of education for children and young people with no appropriate school placement) taking a lead in safeguarding issues.  She was also called to the Bar in July 2018.

Caroline lives in Sevenoaks and is also a volunteer mediator. She is passionate about levelling up education and making top quality education more affordable and accessible to all.

Caroline has felt honoured to take on the role of National DSL for the Invicta Academy because she believes that Invicta Academy is a valuable opportunity for all children to access help which can support their learning, in particular, those children who have missed out on education due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions and/or cannot afford traditional forms of private education or tuition.
