Invicta National Academy are excited to be working with DigiLocal to teach young people really useful skills. During these lessons children will not only learn to program, but also learn about computational thinking, problem solving, planning, designing and collaboration.
Over 5 mentored sessions, young people will have the opportunity to code rocket ships flying to other worlds, make their own music mixing & scratching app, build a hunt the dinosaur game, and more!
Mentors are on hand to help get young people started and then fire their imaginations! All our mentors are volunteer STEM Ambassadors and give their time to support the next generation of engineers, innovators, and problem solvers.
We use the very popular and sector leading online app Scratch to give young people easy access to coding. Young people do not need to install any software to use Scratch, it runs in the browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, etc).
